ShangriLa Furnishings, Inc. is a
manufacturer of modern and contemporary furniture. The company was built from the ground up by a single man and his vision that high quality furniture should be available to everyone.
Quickly growing out of its original
resale-oriented business model,
ShangriLa now flourishes in the
international marketplace as a
manufacturer with a dedicated factory
and two full-time offices dedicated to
sales and client support across the
globe.
At the heart of our operation is the
125,000 sq-ft. factory located in
China. Completed in 2001 and
operational starting in 2002, this
facility expanded the abilities of
ShangriLa immeasurably and heralded the
company's transition into a new
market. Operating at maximum
capacity, this facility has the ability
to produce and ship 50 containers per
month, and currently only a fraction of
that potential is being utilized.
Every piece of furniture is hand-made
and by controlling every aspect of the
manufacturing process from start to
finish, ShangriLa is able to customize
every production, if necessary.
In mid-2004, ShangriLa established a
satellite office and distribution center
in Ontario, California, to create a
local resource for our clients in the
United States. This is a important
addition as it puts clients just a phone
call away from the services they need to
support their businesses and provides a
tangible location where clients can
interact with their supplier as
needed. The office is attached to
a 13,000 sq-ft. warehouse that gives
ShangriLa some very valuable storage
space and the ability to drop ship for
clients, if needed.
Expanding our reach even farther in
2006, ShangriLa opened a warehouse in
Poland, near Wroclaw and close to the
border with Germany. Similar to
the US office, the European office
provides resources for the local market
there, operating under the name Amsil.
Europe-based resellers should visit the
website at www.amsil.com
for more information.
After selling to several national
web-based retailers, ShangriLa is
currently focusing on the Southern
California market. We are actively
searching out partners to carry our
product in brick-and-mortar stores and
showrooms. Eventually we will move
east, setting up more distribution
centers in key areas to facilitate
delivery to stores across the US and cut
down on total freight shipping as much
as possible.
With so much untapped potential and a
complete, tried-and-true infrastructure
in place, ShangriLa will grow rapidly
over the next few
years.
